Obituary

LITERARY GUILD, MichEmily, 2 months. Died almost as soon as it was created. No one finished the first book because it kind of sucked. No one wanted to discuss the book for the same reason. Visitation will be at 4:45 on Friday, September 18th at the water cooler. Donations can be made to the Reading Rainbow Foundation, care of Jordie from Star Trek.

Survived by Oprah's Book Club, the Today Show Book Club, and the Dr. Suess Book-Of-The-Month Club.

It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

We can't let this die...

Don't give up, Ladies. Just because the first book was a bust doesn't mean that we can't keep this going. You are MichEmily, damnit! Pick a book...it's your Guild...

Lots of names

There are a shit-ton of Italian names in this book. I'm glad that I remembered the list at the begining of the book.

I'm at the part after the last murder happened and the prosecutors are switching around. I still have no idea who did it.

A little bit of drama associated with this book...

Check it out: http://www.thewrap.com/blog-entry/2354

Apparently, the prosecutor must be a real jack-ass and very corrupt.

New Dan Brown Book!!!

The Lost Symbol will be released on September 15, 2009! If the ladies so choose, I suggest that we read it.

It looks to be 528 pages long, making it the 2nd longest Robert Landon novel of the three, just behind Angels & Demons.

the blog is on....

I've already checked the book out at the Library. But don't worry, I get a one week handicap because I'm slow.

In the beginning...

...there was Emily and there was Michelle. It wasn't until they were seperated by a mere cube half-wall that MichEmily was born. Much was discussed...seriously...there was a lot of discussing. Motivational posters, men with knives, a couple teen novels...it was the best of times.

Until the unthinkable happened; Michelle was breaking out of her cloth and metal wall prison and moving to where the magic happened...North Canton.

During a trip to a book store after one last dinner before the big move, the MichEmily Literary Guild was born. It's mission: to read books that don't suck.

First up: The Monster of Florence.
